Alcohol Sales TrainingResponsible Vendor Training (RVT) is a responsible vendor server training that is available online FREE OF CHARGE for Hernando County alcohol sellers and servers.
About RVT The central concepts for the RVT course include: Recognition of fake IDs; Acceptable forms of identification; Prevention of service to minors; Laws and liability concerns related to selling to underage or intoxicated customers; and Advice on how to handle disorderly, intoxicated customers. Completion of this course is encouraged by Judge Hitzemann, the Hernando State’s Attorney’s Office and the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. This is an important one hour for any retailer in the alcohol sales business. RVT WORKS!
In Hernando County, Law Enforcement has conducted over 400 compliance checks since 2011. Anyone caught selling/serving alcohol to an underage person is referred to our course in lieu of arrest. Since 2011, only one of the hundreds of alcohol sales workers referred to the course have been caught reoffended! |
